Rosemary’s Computer

A newcomer has joined the other 184 million bloggers in the United States. She’s not just a newcomer to blogging…she’s never used a computer in her life. Rosemary is an 80 year old former school teacher living in Danville, Kentucky…and Mother-in-Law of firstSTREET CEO, Mark Gordon. We decided to let her have a ‘GO’ with our new designed for SENIORS™ GO Computer to see just what her experience would be. She’s never had any training or really wanted to learn about the world of cyberspace. So come here often and see how an octogenarian learns and interacts with the designed for SENIORS™ GO Computer.

Day Twenty-seven

Dear Diary, I have found a wonderful new (to me!) use for the designed for SENIORS® GO Computer: PARTY INVITATIONS! I tested this on twelve friends this week. I invited them to a "theatre party" at our outdoor theatre, The Pioneer Playhouse. This theatre produced an original play about our famous doctor Ephriam McDowell who, in 1809, performed the first ovariotomy in the world. I work as a docent at Dr. McDowell’s historic home and so was particularly interested in this drama. I sent the invitation to my party via email to all of the people involved and received many email responses back. This made it easy to buy the right number of tickets and to make the reservations! The computer is better than the telephone in many cases. I never thought I’d say that, but I am becoming a "believer"! Thank you, GO Computer.
